Sleeping Is Hazardous

The links below expose you to the idea that in the most recent history of man, segmented sleep seems to have been the norm until roughly the eighteenth century.

How about the idea that when we were hunter/gatherers (for maybe 1.5 million years - until roughly until 8,000BCE), we spent our nights on guard duty. Those that mastered segmented sleep survived, those that did not were eaten.

Leave it to highly educated acedemic bozos to miss the obvious.
